NobelClad Announces Olivier Sarrat as Business Development Manager
BOULDER, Colo. – January 10, 2018 – NobelClad, a business of DMC Global Inc., announced Olivier Sarrat will assume the role of Business Development Manager focused on the chemical industry. Sarrat will leverage his 21 years of experience with NobelClad in contact management, operations management and supply chain to expand the business’ presence in the chemical industry.
“Olivier brings a number of capabilities to this new assignment, including vast experience with our clad products and markets, which establishes him as a trusted advisor and consultant to current and prospective customers in the chemical industry,” said John Scheatzle, NobelClad President. “Our goal in the development of markets has always been to support our industrial partners and be a key resource early in the project development stage. We expect Olivier to provide that service to global owners and engineers faced with important projects and challenging requirements.”
Sarrat has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and is currently working toward a master’s degree in strategy and management of international business. Sarrat will focus on developing new opportunities for NobelClad to serve the chemical process industry. Historically one of the stronger business segments for NobelClad, the chemical market is fertile ground for clad metal products that address high temperature, high pressure, corrosive environments, and deliver safe, reliable and economical solutions.
According to IHS, the chemical industry is poised for growth, with strong demand from critical clad applications like Purified Terephthalic Acids (PTA), Acetic Acid and Monoethylene Glycol (MEG), all of which IHS expects will rise well into 2025.
“Understanding the importance of total life cycle costs is more important now than ever,” Sarrat said. “Cutting corners with specifications and suppliers is no longer acceptable. It is to our mutual benefit to partner from the beginning of projects to improve companies’ return on investment, and leverage specific designed products.”
